I encourage all clients to have a consultation with me before their photo session. This allows us to discuss all details of your package as well as obtain some insight into your personal needs. This can be done in person, over the telephone or email.
Yes, we encourage you to choose the location. In some packages you have the option of multiple locations within a 5km radius. If you, however, need assistance with choosing an appropriate location for your photo session, let us know! We will be happy to aid in your choice.
You will receive all of your proofs with basic editing, which includes; color correction, facial editing, and cropping. Special requests are considered once you place your print/product order. At that time we will discuss your needs and additional editing fees may apply.
Of course! We use digital cameras and always shoot in colour, however, any image taken can be easily converted into black/white or sepia toned. Once you have chosen the images for print you may then request some or all of your photographs to be printed in either one of these effects. There are no additional editing fees applied.
We can assure you that all photo sessions of this nature are handled with respect to our client. The photographs are taken in a private room or a location of your choice and are securely saved in our database.
In many cases, yes. Without a permit you may be asked to leave or wait for another party that has obtained one from the city. Some locations are permit-free, but it is up to the client to confirm if a permit is required for their location or not. To ensure this location will be available on the date and time you require, we recommend that you purchase a permit. This is the responsibility of the client, not Pure Aperture.
Children can be challenging to photograph, Pure Aperture is up to that challenge! We are prepared to spend a little more time with young children. A little interaction and play make for a happier, content child. We have a bag of tricks up our sleeves to ensure we capture that beautiful expression. However, if you have particular toys in mind that you think may assist in making the session run more smoothly, please bring them!
Our best advice to you is, be yourself! When choosing an outfit for your photo session it is good to consider the location. For example, if you have chosen a forest setting for your engagement pictures wear clothing appropriate for a park. Remember to wear colours that complement each other. Avoid earth tones as you will blend into the scenery.
Most definitely! They are a part of your family, therefore they should be there. All that we ask is that you notify us of this prior to your photo session. Furry family members can require a little more time with posing.
